Review, Swatches and Price of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick

Wowwww…it feels so good to be writing again!! How have you all dolls been?? I am back on VNA with this latest entry into my vanity- a luxurious Estee Lauder Pure Color lipstick in shade Powerful. Last month was my brother’s wedding and it was an excuse for me to splurge on cosmetics and thus girls be ready for a host of product reviews from my side. Without wasting much time, lets get on to see if this expensive baby lives up to its price, name etc with my review and swatches.
Estee Lauder Claims: Color with the power to transform your lips, your look, your attitude.
Intensifies: Saturates lips with high-intensity color—in one stroke. Lip-sculpting statement shades for all skintones.
Sculpts: Multi-faceted pigments create definition. Lips look beautifully shaped, sculpted, curvaceous.
Hydrates: Time-released Moisture Complex helps capture and seal-in hydration. Lips feel continuously moisturized throughout the day.
Super creamy, glides on effortlessly, covers evenly. Sensually soft and smooth, luxuriously comfortable. 6-hour wear. The lipstick bullet is shaped to sculpt the curves of your lips. The case feels like luxury in your hands. And with one click, case closed.
My Review:
Packaging: the lipstick comes packed in a navy blue coloured outer packaging (which I have misplaced L) which contains all the information about the product. The lipstick bullet is plain with not even a word written on it and comes with a magnetic cap. The packaging in all, is quite luxurious and definitely better than the drugstore brands.
Texture: the lippie is super duper creamy, yes its creamy to the extent that its bullet already feels displaced and it has started to melt even in this cold weather. I have to be careful while applying from the bullet fearing it might break and fall. On the lips it is hydrating and creamy.
Pigmentation: this scores full marks in this department and goes opaque in one swipe itself.
Shade: Estee Lauder 220 Powerful is a neutral to cool toned pink with slight mauvish hints. It is sans any shimmer but gives a glossy look to the pout and is easy to wear at any time of the day. Looks good on fair to medium skintone.
Staying Power: the lipstick easily stays on for 3-4 hours with light drinks in between but since its creamy it transfers a bit. I have not tried but I don’t think its going to survive a meal.

What I like about the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Powerful:

What I don’t like about the Estee Lauder Envy Sculpting Lipstick Powerful:
- Price is a big bummer.

Do I Recommend: the range has beautiful shades ranging from nudes to brights and i would definitely recommend this range especially for dry lips…but then yes price is something which is a big turn off factor.
