I swear by Shiseido for its skin care and base makeup products and with this lip rouge my love for it has increased even more. It is one of those glosses that don’t feel sticky like a fevicol on your lips nor does it attract all the hair that you have on your head to fly out and stick to the gloss and drag the gloss all over to your face. Instead it feels really moisturizing and creamy when applied, kind of a lip moisturiser with intense color. So today I will review and swatch the shade RS 306 of this Lacquer Gloss by Shiseido.

Shiseido Claims: A clear lip lacquer with a deep sheen that lasts all day long. Inspired by traditional Japanese transparent lacquer, this unique formula has a three-layer structure that refines lip texture, adheres to the lips with vivid color, and coats the lips w ith all-day moisture. This gloss also features an applicator that fits lips perfectly, allowing you to draw an even lip line with no streaks.

My Review:

My girls the color payoff is like a lipstick..no joke. In one swipe it feels opaque like a lipstick. I love how it looks and how it feels plus it has no shimmer or glitter or anything in it, just pure liquid plum color that I have fallen for as I’m a not a glitter person and often skip lip glosses because of the glitter present in them.

This gloss doesn’t really make your lips plump or anything instantly (neither do I want my lips to look plump) but it does add a tiny bit of volume making the lips a bit more fuller which is harmless to me or anyone!

For the color Shiseido Lacquer Gloss RS 306 is a stunning plum color with warm rose pink undertones. It looks playful and not an aunty like mauve and feels pretty comfortable to be worn even at work or for outings. In short it’s a very versatile color, occasion wise as well as age wise. A 17 year old would look equally cute with this as a 50 year old would. Also it’s a color that would flatter a number of Indian skin tones from very fare to quite dark as well.

The texture as you can see is so healthy and gives a shine to the lips without looking OTT juicy. I don’t like over the top shine.

Shiseido Lacquer Gloss comes with an elongated flattened triangular sought of applicator but its is a little to big for my small and thin lips as it ends up tugging product out of the lip lines while applying. This is a con that I found in this, but infront of the creamy texture that the gloss has I tend to over look it.

Stay time is somewhere between 4-5 hours with little meals in between. Also this doesn’t bleed so that’s a plus.

Also what I like is that the label is only half way up and the actual color of the gloss shows through the tube so its color coded that way and easy to locate in the stash. But nothing much fancy about the packaging. Seems quite similar to the mac packaging of their lip glasses.

As it is for my lips a tiny amount is needed so I think its gonna last forever.

Conclusion: Shiseido Lacquer Gloss is a flattering mauve pink shade with a good hydration and staying power. Its a new launch and comes in a lot of shades so do try out.
