Review of MAC Bad girl Riri lipstick from Riri Hearts MAC Holiday 2013

When it comes to lipsticks my motto is “life is short so buy lipsticks”. I know it won’t make sense but for a true makeup lover it will ! When Riri Hearts MAC Holiday collection launched it was like Riri here and Riri there…like Riri was everywhere. When it comes to launching limited edition I guess MAC knows how to create the hype..and this range is a hit in India. It got sold out in my city within an hour. Girls were eyeing the blush, highlighter, eyeshadows and specially the lipsticks from this range ever since Temptalia wrote about them. The lipstick range consists of Riri woo, Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl Riri. Excluding Pleasure Bomb the rest two were launched in India. Let’s start with the review and swatches.
The moment I first saw it. it look like a deep warm matte nude but while applying it on my lips I found it is a warm Taupey Nude with Rose-Brown undertones. It is just perfect for everyday use. It is incredibly pigmented and very long-wearing. I was not sure about this shade as I am not a fond of browns. Browns are like neutrals on my skin so I hardly look for them, but when I Googled the swatches on beauty blogs (that’s the use of beauty blogs you see!) I immediately decided to have it but it was out of stock in my city so there was a secret angel who bought these from Mumbai..one for her and one for me.
The lipstick is creamy matte in texture and thus glides on super smoothly without any tugging or pulling. The lipstick comes in a white case with the Rri printed on the body as well as bullet. The white gold LE packaging makes it look really classy.

Good points of MAC Bad Girl RiRi Lipstick: (bad girl being good!)
- Nice LE classy packaging.
- Can be worn everyday to office
- Creamy Matte texture but glide smoothly on lips.
- Very Pigmented.
- A good nude lipstick to have
- Will suit medium to dark Indian skin tones nicely
- Very long wearing.
- And yes riri holiday makes all the difference!
Bad points of MAC Bad Girl RiRi Lipstick:
- Limited edition so might be out of stock now.
- I was thinking it is pricey but now after the price hike I think I got this limited edition lipstick at a cheap price
Price: Rs.1100 as it was limited edition but as now MAC has hiked the prices of permanent line from Rs.990 to Rs.1190 I guess there will be price hike for limited edition too

My Recommendation: MAC Bad Girl RiRi Lipstick is limited edition so I guess there is no point in recommending it and probably I am the last person who is reviewing it. So now so I think it is good to search for good dupes. I must say that the limited edition created all the hype else you can find pretty close dupes of it in other brands and probably in MAC too.
