Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer Review, Swatches and Demo

Hope you all had a lovely new year welcoming day. I caught up with my pals, got tons of wishes and was out on a lunch date and err..shopped again (we always sound so guilty even to ourselves with that word no?) but cummon what is Lakme upto with making our pockets even emptier. Have you guys seen the new prices of the face stylist range!! Seriously they have gone stark and honestly I wouldn’t even have considered getting such a pricey concealer from Lakme if I hadn’t got it on sale! Is the product worth the price? Read the review and swatches! I got my Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer in the shade medium btw.

The Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer comes in three shades: Fair, Medium, Honey.
My Review:
The color- well err..this is where Lakme sinks the ship..big time! I chose the color medium to get a shade darker than my skin but oohh when it came it looked stark and almost my skin tone and was yellow. Lakme should know people do exist who have rosy undertones and not all yellow ggrrr. Thankfully due to its thin texture I did manage to make it work for me on blemishes and scars..dark circles you ask? Bhul jao!
The texture of the concealer is very very impressive! Smooth, soft , gel-like and light it applies and blends in a few easy strokes. The first time I tried applying it it was a smooth dreamy affair ;)
Coverage? Sheer to medium. I have shown later in my demo..it does cover light marks and blemishes but certainly cannot do heavy duty concealing. Its too light and gel-like! You need something thick like Mac Studio Finish.
Staying power- well its lovely weather here in Kolkata- no sweat, no slip so stayed on my face all day! Have to test it out in the greasy summer months to give a clean chit. For now, its nice!
The concealer comes in an ordinary transparent plastic lipgloss like tube with a nice soft doe-foot applicator and an opaque black cap. It is light and very easy to carry or touch up!

Blended: Pah! I look like I have jaundice

The pros of Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer:
- Very convenient, easy to use lipgloss like packaging with a spongy doe-foot applicator
- Impressive smooth and light texture, blends like a dream!
- Absolutely non oily and non sticky..feels like you have got no makeup on
- Staying power was nice on my face and lasted all day!
- Though a bit too yellow it blended seamlessly to cover up a few blemishes and marks.
- No fragrance
The cons of Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer:
- Omg so so priceeyyyy. Are you out of your mind lakme! If you are competing with Mac in price then make sure you deliver like them.
- Too sheer coverage for dark circles or stubborn blemishes
- Narrow shade range! And they are all so yellowww

Do I recommend? Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Concealer is for ladies with yellow undertones who have nice skin and require just a few touch ups to look flawless. Then again it might not. L’oreal
