MAC Zen Rose Sheen Supreme Lipstick

What better way to fight the gloom of a dull drab day of monsoon (sigghh! Am hating Kolkata weather) than to brandish a brand new vibrant color of lipstick. I hauled a major haul for my b’day last to last month (it’s just an excuse. I haul every month anyway!) and ended up with a bagful of MAC and a very angry mother at home. So anyway keeping my blabbing aside and starting my review and swatches, I present to you a breath of fresh air- MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Zen Rose.
Zen Rose is described by MAC as a mid-tone bright fuchsia and comes in their sheen supreme range.
Mac Zen Rose is described quite accurately by MAC but instead of mid-tone it is an extremely blue based fuchsia pink which is total love for me! It is not a very in-your-face color which shocks people neither is it a muted color which is unnoticeable. And owing to its glossy finish it’s a color I often reach out to.
The pigmentation is semi-sheer and can be built up to an opaque finish. The texture of the range is omg amazinggg! They are smooth, creamy and soft like the lustre range but has better pigmentation so it is a winner from all sides and yeahh I love love love glossy finishes. It feels smooth, light on lips, is quite hydrating and it does not dry out lips after wearing off !
In spite of it being so lustrous it surprisingly stays on my lips for 5+ hours and easily survives a huge meal of burger and fries!
The packaging of the Sheen Supreme lipstick range is slightly different from their normal range and comes in a sleek glossy black tube much like the mineralize range and has a tight click cap, making it travel friendly.

The good things about MAC Zen Rose Sheen Supreme Lipstick:
- Lovely, glossy black packaging with a tight click cap makes it travel friendly.
- Awesome smooth, glossy semi-sheer texture that can be built up to an opaque color and covers any lip pigmentation.
- Great pigmentation.
- Beautiful blue based fuchsia pink which glams and dolls up simply any look.
- Stays for a long long time easily surviving greasy meals.
- Typical yummy MAC Vanilla fragrance.
The bad things about the Sheen Supreme Lipstick:
- Nothing really. I am a huge fan of these type of finishes so totally in love.

Do I recommend? MAC Zen Rose Sheen Supreme Lipstick is a bright, girly and glamorous yet very wearable and there hasn’t been an occasion that I have worn it and atleast 2 peple did not ask what lippie it was *collar raised* Hayyee if my pocket permitted I would have gone and got all the lipsticks from this range (koi to mujhe de do paise!) Their glossy finish, hydrating texture, yummy colors, sleek packaging, great lasting power and pigmentation leaves nothing to be not loved by everyone!

But do feel the inconsistency in the formula of Sheen Supreme Lipsticks too? I have a major problem with their shade Fashion City! Very crappy formula.
