Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette Sandstone Review

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Eyeshadow Palette Sandstone

By Contributor: Tejinder Kaur

Here I am with a review ans swatches of Shimmer Brick eye shadow paletteI received as a gift. I was trying to find more about this Sandstone palette on Bobbi Brown̵ 7;s official website but couldn’t find much, so I believe it may have been discontinued or the packaging changed has been changed. But I did find something similar on ebay. I had totally forgotten about it but found it while cleaning my cupboard yesterday. It is a very pretty palette and I thought should share my views with you girls.

My Review:

The shimmer brick eyeshadow palette can be used to create either an everyday soft natural look or a more dramatic look. There isn’t any matte shade in this palette which suits me as I don’t like matte shades, but might disappoint some. It contains very fine milled glitter which does not look OTT on the eyes. But it helps in creating amazing smokey eye makeup looks. I found this eye shadow to be long wearing even without a primer. The texture is a bit powdery but silky smooth and blend able. When applied on eyes it does fall out, so be careful while picking the product. All the shades are wearable and would suit all skin tones. It can be used to create a variety of looks. There are 7 colours in the palette stored in a stacking form.

Packaging: I love the classy packaging; compact and sturdy enough to carry around while travelling. It comes in a rectangular shape black palette with brand name embossed over it. It comes with an applicator although I prefer to use my own eye shadow brush. The palette contains a mirror as well which is a plus point. The colours are stacked very creatively. When you open the palette, you see 4 shades sitting together in a row while the other 3 shades are hidden beneath it. You have to slide the top row to the see rest of the 3 colours. I like the slide mechanism and absolutely adore the packaging.

Texture: The shades look very creamy and silky but fallout when picked with brush. Texture is mixed – powdery and creamy. Very easy to blend with lovely wearable colours! You can create multidimensional, glamorous eyes looks with this palette by mixing lots of other colours together.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is great even without using a primer or base with it.

Staying Power: The staying power is superb. With a primer they stays up to 6-7 hours without creasing or fading.

Description of shades: First two shades in the top row are very light and can be used on inner eye area/tear duct area. 1st shade can be used on brow bone or even to highlight the cheek bone.

The next two shades are very pretty; a lovely pigmented copper and a brown shade. They blend really nicely, suitable for all skin tones and contain mild glitter and go very well with Indian outfits. Very gorgeous shades; I created my eye look which you see below by using both of them.

The second row also contains very pretty shades; first one is a gold shade and other two purple shades which go very well with Indian attires.

  1. Applicator for most such products are useless, so I have to use cotton buds instead. I have tried this product and love the shades. Of course you have done a great job by sharing how to use the shades.

  10. The following time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to learn, but I actually thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you would repair in case you werent too busy searching for attention.
