Maybelline Hypercurl Volum’ Express Mascara – Very Black Review

I don’t like my eyes. I have a bad eye sight and a squint in left eye. So I tend to use a lot of kajals and mascaras to make them look pretty. But I do like my eye lashes. Thank god nothing is wrong with them! I picked up this mascara last month after reading good things about it. I am a college student and on budget, so I have to be super careful about what to buy and what not.

Maybelline hypercurl volume express mascara is a great day time mascara when you don’t want too much going on with your lashes but would want some definition as well. It comes in a cute fat bottle which is very girly. The tube is black with pink embossed details and a shiny silver cap. The brush is a little curved to curl the eye lashes. It has small bristles which cover all the lashes perfectly.
What I like:
- It is a daily office or college wear mascara because the volume it gives is perfectly suited for day time.
- It quite long lasting as it stays on my lashes for the whole day.
- It does not feel heavy on my lashes. I never feel I’m wearing something on my eyes.
- The curl stays upto 6-7 hours easily.
- Easy to remove. Use a makeup remover or baby oil.
- I don’t use an eye lash curler with this one.
- Apart from giving the curly effect, it lengthens my eye lashes too.
- It opens up my eyes which are always swollen.
What I don’t like:
- It clumps when you go for multiple coats.
- Application on lower lashes and the inner corners is a little difficult and tends to becomes messy since the brush is quite fat.
- By chance if it comes in contact with my contact lens while application, it starts to sting.

Recommendation: This Maybelline Hypercurl mascara is a good day time mascara which gives a little volume and a lot of curling and lengthening effect to the lashes and is a nice budget option for college girls. Go for it if you aren’t looking for anything dramatic.
