L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Tender Berry Review, Swatches

L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Tender Berry Review, Swatches
A few days back when I opened my lipstick drawer, it was kinda surprising to see that all my lipsticks belong to the same colour families. All I had was similar shades but from different brands! And the colours that dominated were MLBBs, nudes, corals and reds. A girl can never have enough pink lipsticks and I want none! Pinks and Mauves are shades I don’t wear…coming from a girl, shocking? But recently I found a pale pink which is my latest crush!

L'Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Tender Berry

L’Oreal Claims: Infallible Le Rouge stays fresh and vibrant looking for up to 10 hours without feeling sticky, tacky or dry. Enriched with Vitamin E for moisture and Ceramide 5 for conditioning, Infallible Le Rouge applies evenly without flaking or fading out.

The new Infallible Le Rouge formula is based on L’Oréal’s Colour Bond Technology that features a flexible network that captures and fixes colour on lips. This is made possible by an association of adhesive polymers that allows for the longevity of the lipcolour, as well as sillicon micro spheres that ensure only the richest lipcolour will be left on a woman’s lips.

The Colour: Tender Berry is a cool toned lilac mauve with hints of pink. The pigmentation is really good. Below you see one single swipe and see how pigmented it is. It goes opaque in one swipe and you get a blast of pale pink mauve. Being cool toned, I expected it to wash out my nc37 skin but it brightens it up. I was always into corals and nudes. Mauve was a colour I could never make myself to wear but this one has started a love affair I guess! As a rule people with warm tones should wear warm lipstick shades but cool toned lipsticks if carried well can surprise you, in a good way ofcourse.

Quality, Texture and Longevity: The range has 30 shades with a mix of different finishes. Some are matte, others lustre and this one creamy matte. With just one swipe you get full pigmentation and the creaminess to match it. Despite being a long lasting formula, it is non drying. But if you have dry flaky lips I sugest you wear a thin coat of lip balm under it. I wore it in the day and the color was still intact when I got home…so I can safely say it stays on for around 7-8 hours on me. Also, it glides on easily without flaking up and never settles into the fine lines of lips. This is one of the best long staying lip colours I’ve tried in a long time. Also, the bullet has this thin diameter which makes it very easy to apply the lipstick straight from the tube, even beginners can get it right the first time without messing up.

The lipstick case is sturdy and closes with a ‘clicckkkk’ which relieves you of it messing up in your bag but it is bulky. Also, if you have a few more of these then it gets difficult to distinguish them in your vanity without looking at the labels. At this price, I would expect a little more good-to-look-at packaging.

So is it for you? Yes if you are looking for a mauve that’s not too plum and has enough amounts of cool pink in it to brighten up your complexion and look neat. If you are afraid of mauves, then this can be a safe option. The formula is top notch and stays on for 7-8 hours with meals in between and doesn’t flakes and dries your lips. It is one of those good quality long lasting lip colors available in the market.
