Lotus Herbals Moistpetals Lipstick in Red Rover Review, Swatches

Lotus Herbals Moistpetals Lipstick in Red Rover Review, Swatches
I’m not that great a multi tasker I take myself to be. Two small (just to say okay) exams and I completely vanished off the scene. By the way one of those was my first Spanish test. I can now completely boast of writing a complete 10line essay on My House! By the way I was going through my stash last night and found I’ve quite a lot of red lipsticks which deserve to be put up here. Although I’m more of a nude peachy mlbb girl and wear reds generally as lip and cheek tints. But they are nonetheless very pretty and I keep on admiring the swatches! This one is a night time red I’ve here today.

It Claims: A premium quality luxurious Lip Colour so creamy, gives soft, silky & comfortable feel to lips while enhancing the look. With Botanical moisturising & nourishing extracts, Intensive colour, & Dazzling shine. 97% Natural.

The colour: It is a gorgeous warm toned red with finely milled golden shimmer. It has got slight orange tones to it. One single swipe and you get pretty orange red sheer lips. Another swipe and the red comes out with full intensity and goes opaque. The shimmer is not obvious when you wear it infact I had a hard time detecting it on the lips. Its barely there which gives you pearl lips and imparts a wet shine whenever you move your lips! Its more appropriate for night time wear and would look best on weddings and parties where you are more likely to wear something ethic. Also if you are a bride-to-be or just got married, you would love it.

This lipstick is part of the Festive Glam collection. The texture is smooth and glides on easily. If you don’t have much dry lips, you can skip the lip balm since this is moisturising on its own. The finish of this particular shade is pearl and frost like. This stays on for around 2-3 hours with meals and leaves behind a subtle tint. It fades evenly and there is no shimmer left behind to mess things up. Now since this is a red lip colour which are generally known to bleed and smudge easily, this one stayed intact so you don’t need a lip liner with this one. Though I’m not a great fan of the old world red gold packaging, its meh!

So is it for you? Yes if you are looking for a gorgeous night time red that would go well with your Indian ethnic attire. Or if you are looking for a bridal red than this can be your bet. The colour will suit most Indian tones and the quality is pretty nice too since it is creamy and moisturizing. This one doesn’t bleeds and smears on the edges. Although the staying power is average with 3hours at most with meals in between.

  2. This red looks lovely :) I have realize I acquired a lot of red lipsticks the last few months. I gravitate towards them and I don’t know why. I like this color. The color is something I don’t have. My sister is currently studying in India maybe I could ask her to get this for me..
